Hello, I'm Addison Severs. A creator of immersive storytelling.
I am a creative and passionate immersive themed experience designer based in Duluth, Minnesota. Currently, I am employed at Audio Visual Resources where I am an Audio Visual Technical Designer. On top of my employment, I am also pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth, with a focus on sculpture and ceramics. My core competencies include production design, audio engineering, lighting design, and set design.
At Audio Visual Resources, I design, Build and install Audio visual systems. I operate audio, lighting, and visual equipment for a large portfolio of high profile events. Utilizing 3D modeling software such as Vectorworks, I model the layout and production for clients. I also help lead the Research and development of new innovative products and technologies.
In my past role as a set designer, I coordinated with other disciplines about the designs of rooms, audio, lighting, and prop placement while also leading a team of artists. I have designed, developed, and built pneumatic and servo driven animatronics, and programmed scenes, props, effects, and animatronics.
I have successfully completed the Disney College Program as a food and beverage front of house host where I gained valuable customer service and teamwork skills. I am motivated by creating immersive and memorable experiences for the guests, and I am always eager to learn new skills and techniques. I can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to any team.
In my free time, I enjoy fishing, hiking, boating, sailing, traveling, and hanging with friends and family. My favorite place to travel is Walt Disney World, so you may find me exploring the parks and resorts.
