THE RETURN OF THE HAUNT

The Duluth Haunted Ship is a haunted house attraction that is located in the belly of the decommissioned Great Lakes ore freight the William A Irvin. 2021 was the first season I was brought onto the team as a set decorator and audio-visual designer, as well as the first year the haunt had been back since Covid-19. This season was a challenge as we had to create a seemingly new experience in the span of 2 months.

SPACESHIP

My first project I was assigned to was redesigning the spaceship. Before I was assigned, the spaceship was a blank canvas. I was able to successfully design and install a lighting, audio, and special effect package that immersed guests into a futuristic space.

THE BAYOU

During the haunt run, I decided to revamp the Bayou room with new tech. I overhauled the whole audio and lighting system, creating a more functional and immersive experience for our guests overnight. ​

RESULTS

The work I did for this season of the Duluth Haunted Ship was used within marketing, gaining a record number in attendance.
